Philippe Starch is the French designer who design the Master chair. He set up his first own studio in 19 years old. The first time he received his boost when he designed the interior of President Francois Mitterrand’s【fig8 9】 private apartment in 1982. Aside from the president private apartment he is also well know in the other field of design such as furniture design, product design and interior design. Most of his work is organic, emotional and international, moreover, he can use different material such as stone, glass, plastic and aluminium in different design to create mixed material items. All of this element makes his works more interesting and creative. One of his famous work is the Juicy Salif lemon squeezer【fig10】. This biomimetic work was inspired by the calamari and it present a clear, fluid, curved and elegant line with a inverted drop-like head and three long legs. On the head, there are several lines as the decoration and the ditch for the lemon juice drop to the bottom. Juicy Salif lemon squeezer is made of the metal, it shows the ironed colour and has a reflective surface. Because of the simple form and colour, this item can be use in any space of house to match with other mass products.

So all of the joint shows the sharp right angle. Moreover, designer used several colours in one piece of product, so you can see a colourful but harmonious work and it can makes the interior design【fig12】 more interesting and lively.
